I’m Said Blanchette, a Backend Engineer and Technical Co-Founder based in Casablanca, Morocco. I build backend systems and SaaS products using Python and Django — focusing on clean architecture, reliable APIs, and infrastructure that doesn’t wake you up at 3am.
Over the past 5+ years I’ve worked across the full backend lifecycle: designing multi-tenant platforms, writing REST APIs, setting up CI/CD pipelines, and managing production infrastructure on DigitalOcean. I care about code that is readable, systems that are observable, and deploys that are boring in the best way.

What I’ve built
At tabla.ma I co-founded and led the backend development of a multi-tenant SaaS platform for restaurant reservations — handling architecture decisions, API design, infrastructure, and everything in between. It runs 20+ restaurant clients from a single codebase with application-level data isolation and ~99.9% uptime.
Alongside that, I’ve worked as a freelance backend consultant, delivering REST API systems, async processing pipelines, and automated infrastructure setups for clients across different industries.
Earlier in my career I built ERP solutions and custom modules at Yansoft and IT Shore, which gave me a strong foundation in Python, business logic modelling, and working with real client constraints.
